Thomas E. Blot
Thomas E. Blot was born in Port-Au-Prince and is the Associate Manager of Thomas Blot & Associates, a firm he founded in 2010, and serves as Vice President of Audit at Unibank. A specialist in internal auditing, Thomas is committed to promoting good governance in both public and private sectors in Haiti. Since 2014, he has led the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA-Haiti), significantly increasing its national and international visibility. In 2015, he was honored with the Jean Pouillot Prize by the Union Francophone de l’Audit Interne (UFAI) in Beijing.
Thomas holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting Sciences from the National Institute of Administration, Management, and International Higher Studies (INAGHEI). He began his career at SOGEBANK in 1994 and later joined UNIBANK as an internal controller, where his skills earned him the title of Best Auditor. UNIBANK awarded him a scholarship to pursue a postgraduate degree in Banking Management at CEFEB in Paris. He also holds a master’s in Financial Services from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) and is a member of the Order of Chartered Accountants.
Thomas has been teaching at UNIQ since 1998 and serves as an accredited professor at the Center for Professional and Banking Training (CFPB) in France, where he teaches accounting and financial analysis. His vision is to democratize internal auditing by showcasing its value.
