WHO WE ARE

Vision & Mission

Our Vision

Central to AYITI ALASO’s vision is to elaborate programs geared towards the betterment and development of the Socio-Cultural & Economic System in the Mother Land, Haiti (Health, Education, Agriculture, etc.) as well as the assimilation of Haitian-Americans and Haitian Immigrants into the mainstream America, together with its various ethnic communities.

This vision is to be kept alive by its diverse benevolent missions and actions mostly aimed to benefit Haiti and Haitian residents of Northern NJ, those residing in adjacent communities, and abroad.

Our Mission

Change the stereotype and the narrative about Haiti and Haitian Descendants through cohesive actions based on the concept of “E.A.C.H one L.I.F.T one” which stands for Education, Awareness, Culture, Heritage, Love, Integrity, Fraternity, Tolerance.

The missions of AYITI ALASO consist of the following:

1) To link all Haitians globally and nationally to a common cause which is Haiti, and to a common goal which is the betterment of all Haitian communities.

2) To develop a well-focused, supportive socio-economic and educational plan that will extend to the elderly, handicapped, youth, and families in need in Haiti and in America to help improve their quality of life.

3) To nourish closer relationships among Haitian Americans and Haitian Immigrants as well as with other American communities and multi-ethnic groups to achieve a more neighborly community life.

4) To support AYITI ALASO in its effort to preserve our Haitian Cultural Heritage, Strengthen our Identity, enrich the way of life of the present and future generations of the Haitian Diaspora; and promote understanding of tolerance to each other in these widely culturally diverse communities.
